So, I really need your help. My hair is thick, the stands are zig-zaggy and I need a haircut. Right now my hair black is 5-6 inches past the shoulder, it has some layers and I have a side bang. I really want it to make it look less poofy and get rid of the bulk.

My question is should I keep the style but have it trimmed shorter like shoulder length or have a new hairstyle.
